About Me

My husband, me and our puppy Cooper  (9 weeks old in photo)
was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up nearby in Ellicott City. After high school, I went to Virginia Tech to pursue a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. After graduating, I moved to Germantown, Maryland to be closer to my workplace. I spent 11 years in Germantown before I married and moved across the Potomac River to my current home in Alexandria, Virginia.

My full time job is in the IT world as a senior software engineer. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, reading, playing games, watching baseball and of course, crafting!

I've always loved crafts and making things. I've done various needlework crafts such as cross-stitch and plastic canvas. I can knit a scarf (but not much more haha!). Crocheting never worked out well for me. I spent many years doing rubber stamping and for a while was an independent consultant for Stampin' Up! (Something I did so I could support my stamping habit. Haha!) I still have all my stamping supplies and enjoy it but haven't found as much time as I would like to do it. My latest craft addiction, and the reason I created this blog, is embroidery and craft sewing. This is one of my favorite crafts I have learned so far and this blog will give me a place to share what I've done. Join me on my journey as I continue to learn! I hope you enjoy the reading!
